REMOTE PORTRAITS
Section 1: Introduction
While tis may not immediately relate to my final outcome work for this shoot I simply wanted to produce a series if unobtrusive candid images of people in a way that they were completely unaware of my being there. I felt that by doing this using a long 300mm lens there was not only a degree of separation but it was also interesting to experiment with the aperture so as to separate the subject form the background.
Section 2: Objectives
Experiment to see how long range observed portraits shot at f2.8 separate the subject from the background.
Section 3: Methodology (Materials & Methods)
Using a Canon 1Dxiii camera and 300mm lenses
Section 4: Results
Being able to capture candid portraits with the subject being unaware of my presence enablelled natural relaxed portraits
Section 5: Critique
An interesting series where I experimented with different apertures enamelled me to isolate the subject.
Section 6: Learning Outcomes
The images below demonstrate the final results.
